Pyott-Boone Electronics is proud to be the U.S. representative for TR
Minecom Australia.
TR Minecom has been manufacturing high quality Leaky Feeder systems
for nearly 20 years. The term 'leaky feeder' refers to the cable used in
this type of system since it "leaks" radio signals the entire length of
the cable. TR Minecom offers systems for both the VHF (500M/1640FT
spacing) and UHF (350M/1148FT spacing) frequency ranges along with many
options such as personnel or vehicle tracking, train automation,
skip/hoist controls, telephone and page phone interfaces, data
monitoring, etc.
TR Minecom systems are in place around the world in several
industries including underground mining, material handling and
transportation facilities, processing plants, etc. and for the first
time is now offered to U.S. industries.
More and more companies are turning to automation in an effort to
reduce production costs. Automating plants and equipment offers many
advantages like less wear and tear on equipment, lower maintenance costs
and consistent operation. Most employees can communicate using
stationary equipment via fixed cables, but mobile or vehicle equipment
require a 'wireless' solution for monitoring, control and communications
purposes.
The U.S. Coal industry is currently faced with an urgent need to
track personnel underground. TR Minecom offers several different devices
for this purpose as well as for tracking vehicles or trains or available
for warning equipment operators when other personnel are too close.
