Model 236 Photo Switch

The Pyott Boone Model 236 Photo switch is a general purpose, light controlled switch. The switch provides the ability to remotely control devices such as automatic doors, track switches, feeder-breakers, water sprays, and many others. The Photo Switch consists of a Control Unit and two Photo Sensors. Each sensor has 50 feet of 16/2 cable and a housing extension that is used to reject ambient light.

The Model 236 uses the Photo Sensors to detect the presence of light rays. When light strikes either Sensor, a signal is sent to the Control Unit that energizes a relay. The relay will remain energized until light strikes either Sensor a second time or the Control Unit times out.

The Model 236M and Model 236G differ from the standard Model 236 in that the light source is included with the unit. Control functions in both the 236G and 236M are accomplished by breaking the light beam.
